People keep threatening Pat with talent drain on Circuit+ but the reality is it’s already mostly done. The ELT wonders why we look so bad compared to TSMC on all these benchmarks but it’s because they still have their talent and we do not. It’s like comparing the local High School track coach to Usain Bolt. Sure, the local HS coach can aspire to do better — but pointing out that he or she isn’t Usain Bolt is more demotivating than motivating. Why give 110% when anything less than 5000% is a failure?
