I was put on garden leave on June and have the official separation date in August. If anyone on a similar timeline returned their laptop and badge in the PA campus, please let me know the process. I'll also like to have a written / electronic receipt that I returned all Broadcom properties because frankly I do not trust any process and/or honor code in Broadcom.
PS. My manager didn't contact me after 'the' Zoom call and I'd prefer not contacting them if possible.
Don’t expect a receipt. Take pic of your laptop and badge at FedEx in the box and keep copy of FedEx tracking that says they receive it. I was laid off 6 months ago and never received any acknowledgment. Got my severance etc on time.
Haven't heard anything since zoom call with manager 3 weeks ago. Presumably they haven't changed their mind. :-)
Left last year. Zero acknowledgment from Broadcom. I emailed the HR business partner with my tracking number just so I have a record but doubt they even care.

I was a US-based transition employee. When I departed I followed the equipment return instructions, which called for shipping my laptop, power cord and badge back to Palo Alto using BCs FedEx account number. For a receipt I took a couple photos of the items in the shipping box before the FedEx Store employee sealed it up, and I kept the tracking receipt to prove the box arrived in Palo Alto. This cost me nothing except a short drive to my closest FedEx Store.

I was told to use the VMware account at UPS to return my stuff but UPS claimed the account number I was given was invalid. I paid to ship it myself and sent the receipts to VMware but heard crickets.
