Are you sure about no difference in severance package? Remember they aren’t legally obligated to give us one. And all the stuff I have seen promising it is also not legally binding. They could just tell us to go kick rocks.
There will be some project cancellations- I’ve already been told my building is closing , so I’ll be ISP’d - so now I won’t volunteer and will take the extra salary until the axe drops (no difference in severance package) (extra 2 months of pay)
I’ve been through many cycles of redundancy at Intel I’m finally taking the enhanced retirement option as I’m close to actually retirement. Intel has always done ISP by skills assessment.
So update your skills in workday. As I’m sure HR will be involved in the process.
Those you choose stick around and get laid off - most won’t get a package. Downvote me but watch happens
In one of many group syncs, HR said skills not merit. So, the d-mbest way to do it. What else is new?
In the past it was skills assessment, which is done by your direct GL, so if you don't have a good relationship with them, then its farewell

In SMG I have heard it will be role-based. Criteria like time in grade and performance ratings will not come into play. Just what I’ve heard so take with a grain of salt.
