It’s a special company who targets many of their top performers for layoffs when inflation is out of control, jobs are scarce, the housing market is crashing etc. Evil and just plain gross!

second the notion on I&O and speaking up. work in network engineering organization. your opinion absolutely matters, as long as its aligned 100% with the leadership team. may be we can have a town call so they show how caring they are.

Anyone posting on this forum with “speak up” or “ask the hard questions” is clearly NOT an employee at the firm. “Schwab nice” = always say yes; no matter how illogical or regressive the direction. Asking questions = career su----e

Speak up in a townhall negatively, and you will get disemboweled. Slowly, I know. They have gotten to my large intestines already.

confirmed. watched individuals and leaders challenge in I&O and be immediately marked for the next layoff. they are gone.

I can confirm. Challenge your leader and you are marked. We say we have a challenger mindset, but that’s a joke. Just do as told and go home.

“Probably people that do not even work at Schwab. Why do I think so? Because you never speak up at town halls. I never even hear you in break room conversations.”

Then clearly YOU do not work at Schwab. If you did, you’d know that senior leadership is filled with a bunch of vindictive a--holes who will add you to the purge list for even asking the simplest of questions that doesn’t come off as 100% blind compliance in a management only chat.

"What if you becomes " rightfully purged people " in future? "

I got "an offer I could not refuse" from another company, and left earlier this year.

I ALWAYS stay prepared that the next day could be my last. That is how corporate America works, my friend! Not sure how it works where you come from, but the sooner you accept that, the better for you!

It is sad to see all the negativity on this forum. Trolls mainly!

Probably people that do not even work at Schwab. Why do I think so? Because you never speak up at town halls. I never even hear you in break room conversations.

People with a spine, who talk tough like this, should at least say something.

Useless people that were rightfully purged, and now try to give the impression that Schwab is failing! It is not! We are much better off without you whiners!

Unfortunately some good people were let go in the last year as well. Being in the wrong place. But many of the slackers and whiners are now gone, making Schwab a much better place!

Go away trolls!

Three or four levels down, more likely. I can count the number of competent people with 'director' or higher in their title on one hand with room to spare.

This is one of the best posts ever on this forum.
Plenty of rightful complaining about layoffs, and the epic toxicity levels now throughout the firm, but rarely are serious, genuine solutions posted. The “cancerous tumor” that’s slowly klling the firm is, in fact, the EC and leadership above them. All routes to every lie, bad decision and lack of improvement lead straight to these people. Without removing this malignant tumor, the patient will never, ever heal and certain dath is right around the corner.
Sad. Really sad. It used to be a wonderful place to work. What / Who “happened” to us @ 5 years ago? (And it wasn’t Covid. Covid only accelerated the tumor’s growth)

“ Schwab Should Fire It's Entire IT Department - The ones that maintain the Client System - Client Here

Do not modify my original post. Thank you”

Well then you’re a mo--n. Any issues you’re seeing have been driven from the top: laying off of senior talent in favor of cheap mediocre labor, understaffing infrastructure teams, driving unrealistic standards and goals, tying workers hands to do the right thing, punishing those who TRY to do the right thing, changing standards often for the sake of changing standards, little respect for good/quality/timely data, etc.

Say, I guess with that level of shortsightedness you COULD easily rock the senior “leadership” role here. You should apply, Client!

Walt is trying to turn Schwab into a toxic positive cult. Don’t question. Don’t suggest what could be better. Don’t challenge leaders. Don’t point out what’s broken. And above all, accept Robo Rick. He’s trying really hard to pretend to be normal. Don’t concern yourself with his messed up capacity model and penchant for cost cutting before figuring out a plan.

Schwab Should Fire It's Entire IT Department - The ones that maintain the Client System - Client Here.

Do not modify my original post. Thank you.

If a Client post here, then management should seriously look into it.

The Client does Not need the website down All day long, consistently on multiple occasions over the past few months.

The Client does Not need the website locking up, and providing a spinning wheel.

The Client does Not need a disgruntled Schwab maintaining their remote access into their PC for an extended time when the Client forgot to disengage their remote assistance access on their end. Yes, I have called you out.
