With all the headcount reductions, cost savings goals and morale issues, why are they planning NGID? We should modify the design of the shameful shirts to say 'I volunteered for Nielsen and all I got was a crummy t-shirt.'

Like everything at this company, NGID is just a mirage to present an external image that is completely unreflective of the truth. This company needs to die and quick
All the NGID activities will likely be in India and Mexico. And also in Europe, especially Switzerland where all those folks there are brown nosing so much so they keep their jobs.
I used to run an NGID event but genuinely I feel there are not enough people left here to support it. BRG and event participation is depressing now. It's just sad.
Nielsen should take NGID seriously and give the people let go and extra week of severance. I can promise you that it would impact.
Just horrible optics and seriously lacks tact.
The company is so out of touch with itself it still believes people are interested in supporting causes like NGID.
I’d personally be horrified to wear a Nielsen shirt out in public these days. “Yeah, I work for an abusive company sending thousands of jobs offshore and letting people go with no thank you, but hey, let’s clean this park together in the meantime as I wait my turn!”
The ONLY way I’d participate in NGID anymore would be to put a “Su-ks!” after the Nielsen name on the shirt, then explain to the event venue people how bad the company has treated the workers.
Now that would be worth it.
