Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Anyone from EMEA laid off today?

Just wondering if this is all over or should we expect more changes in the next week

A lot of transitioning to teams in India wherever possible. They hope to utilize live AI translation services to communicate with customers in most languages. EMEA employees are just too expensive & the local laws are a pain in the b* to deal with for Dell. Drop in customer experience is considered in calculations and the cost cut has a bigger priority than customer experience. Create a financial cushion to be prepared team.

Many, but most are now in the process of acceptong the seperation package etc. Depending on the country this can take days till weeks. Typically during this time people stay quiet not to get impacted with a less pay (kind of fear if you speak out before the signatures are set)

I work in Spain and there has been plenty but difficult to put a number on it. I'd guess 10-20 but stand to be corrected.

Sadly plenty, but they mostly don't come on here to vent about it.
