Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What if Pat was a saboteur

If Pat was sent to sabotage Intel he would have probably have done something like this

  • overpromise and underdeliver every single product
  • talk trash about every possible customer to ki-l relations
  • spend a lot of money on factories with no customers
  • make sure the id--ts responsible of Intel's problems stay doing what they do
  • put for example head of HR to lead some technical part of company to make sure it gets ruined
  • delay layoffs as long as possible to burn money, hire skill-less id--ts
  • force people to take paycuts to drive away talented people that get better pay elsewhere. At the same time make sure the bosses get increases pay and bonuses
  • when layoffs are inevitable, make sure the talent leaves by offering VSPs. The overpaid id--ts will stay as they have no chance elsewhere
  • demotivate people by taking everything nice and cheap off. At the same time make sure that people spend a lot of money on something stupid and overprice like cruises
  • rush out broken products and don't admit any issues with the products to ki-l Intel brand
  • spend a lot of money on already dying product segments like GPUs, bitcoin miners, etc.
  • start many projects but ki-l them before they have any chance of succeeding
  • talk a lot about Jesus so people lose all trust in you being a sane person

It's good that Pat is thinking what is best for Intel and not doing any of these things!

Title should be “Pat G the Man Who Came Back to Burn Intel to the Ground: A Revenge Story”

With a Steve Jobs like picture of him on the cover holding one of our chiplets that is on fire.

Pat’s been wildly successful, assuming his main goal was to bilk an ungodly amount of money out of Intel before being forced into retirement. Mission accomplished.

His legacy! How he will remembered 40 years from now!

He is a master strategist. He managed to pull Intel so much to the bottom, the BOD may not have money to sever him. We are stuck with him.

You give PG way too much credit. He's not a brilliant arch-villian like Veidt in Watchmen, where he manipulated people and events to achieve his master plan. PG is a bumbling incompetent legacy hire, a nepo baby, that took a cr-p job that no one else wanted. He's more like Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies, an id--t surrounded by incompetent underlings.

He could not have caused all thi chaos without an incompetent BOD.

This post also points out the total and complete incompetence of the Board of Directors. PG should have been removed a long time ago. When he joined and talked about "winning Apple back" I was completely d-mbfounded. I knew then that he had no clue as the the seriousness of the problems plaguing Intel. His decisions indicate that he is not and has never been the right choice for CEO. GLTA.

lol on bullet 5 … SR should never have been running HR in the first place. She is a tech person … in HR, she was like a fish out of water and has floundered ever since!

PG is avenging his past firing from Intel by burning it to the ground. Stock will continue dipping.

You for got :

Bring in management consultants with zero understanding of our industry, pay them millions and take their recommendations at surface value alongside a nice stock grant for executives

Not everything is a conspiracy. It's not premeditated sabotage, PG is just incompetent.
