The only bright spot in that would be that at least the weekend wouldn’t be ruined by anticipation-induced anxiety. Only with anxiety about finding another job or the next round of layoffs. Still better, a bit less stress. I hate this company and this job.

Is no news considered good news? I still hear the cuts are coming, just not sure when. We'll wait for next week.
Can anyone explain why we delayed AHM if there is no announcement?
I can confirm there will be NO layoffs on 8/9.
Pay would continue for 60 days after notice, there is your “no change in opex” this quarter. Not including severance pay either.
Difficult to find another job in San Diego area that comes close to our perks with RSUs, ESPP, and of course free Health Insurance. There are many unhappy people since they are stuck in a company that only cares about the bottom line. They stick around to support their families. This is the reason why there are so few younger and single workers since they put in their 2 years and relocate to San Jose where jobs are plentiful.
Reconciles well for the bunch of jokers here.
“No change in opex” and “layoffs in Oct” how do these reconcile ?
October, last day Dec
8/9 is the deadline for Directors to complete the list. Not the date to announce to those impacted. That will be Sep.

If you “hate this company and this job” as you say, I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your own wellbeing, independent of what the company plans. It’s a really just job and considering how much time we all spend, it’s not worth sticking around if you don’t enjoy it to some level.
