ETX layoffs today to eliminate US workforce. Several projects paused or eliminated. Expect more roles in India and Romania in the future. More layoffs likely in the fall. Hiring freeze for any US roles. Really bad environment right now.

Most people laid off weren't H1B’s.
They hired way too many H1B’s, many who weren’t even very talented, that showed up just for the benefits and generous parental leave. Arrogant and entitled as well. No one will miss them when they get laid off and the company will do just fine without them.
Not a surprise. All jobs are going offshore, not just at MM, if it makes you feel any better. The American tech worker is a dying breed. Even though they fired the lying conman AR earlier this year, the plan was already set in motion. There was still a lot of bloat left from the social experiment that was DX which prioritized D E I over all else, then the fossils out in Springfield who's skills are either woefully outdated or never existed to begin with. Good luck to those affected in this awful job market.
