Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Influencers

Anyone else notice schwab is paying influencers now to promote on social media. I guess word of mouth gets out. No employees have anything good to say and they have lost a lot of business. They can pay influencers 6 figures but not bonuses.

oh you think all those pretty faces in the ads are Schwabbies - get real - they can't do anything but read a script - I am pretty sure Charles(the orig) wouldn't like this strategy - but he isn't in charge anymore!

Yo yo yo! While I’m busy using apps to track my Grubhub subscription and where all of my 401ks from those past gig jobs I switch out monthly, I invest in penny stocks via Schwab! It only takes me 3 days to log in and another 7 to place the order! It’s soooo Rizz! Don’t FOMO!

Madoff should have used an influencer. But end result would still have been the same. Lawsuits, Losses, Layoffs and Jail time. Doesn't hurt for Schwab to try though. By the time the public picks up on the fraud, all the 'so-called' leaders would have packed up and left.

I say leave all the boomer clients alone. Let them invest in a real investment firm. No wonder clients are leaving in droves. What a pleasant attitude.

Can't wait. It's risk-free investing at Schwab guaranteed! Just find the influencer and sue.

A new way of marketing and open door to lawsuits. Bring it on! If I lose money by being "influenced" - I can always recover it back by through a lawsuit. Lots of eager attorneys out there.

Call me a boomer if you want - but I am not one. Not sure why you are being such an a$$hole. If you are pro-Schwab, that basically explains your degrading comment. Typical of a pro-Schwabber. No leg to stand on except to insult a Schwab critic.

"Influencers" are a joke. If they pay me enough, I will go out there and try to convince everyone that sh*t tastes great. Companies use these opportunists as a last resort. Great for selling cosmetics and fashion items but I would not trust to invest my hard earned savings based on some online claim. Crazy.

Has anyone seen that Netflix documentary "FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened?" Sounds like something Schwab would pull.
