While we buckle up for the worst week in the stock market in recent history (remember, a private fund that closely watches this is running things here through his puppet KR) are we expecting more layoffs this week? How about for the rest of the month/year?

The company has cut so much over the years all that’s left is the bare minimum number of people to keep the lights on. At this point there is no choice but to find cheaper people to do the same job
I predict pieces will be sold and a Nielsen as it is now will go to the corporate graveyard in the next 3 years
Just look at Nielsen’s posted jobs.
This! Looking in there I only see India, Mexico, Poland and for whatever reason Slovenia… I guess cheaper is better?
I mean, if anything, this could be the worst time for losing your job. The job market was already pretty tough and I can't imagine how it will become if we enter a recession.
We'll see, but it looks like Nielsen have no other choice now but to continue, they are still hiring heavily in those cheap countries and it is just a matter of time for most of us to get fired.
Good luck everyone!
Nielsen has been making calculated decisions to reduce and redistribute workforce for a very long time… there won’t be some knee-jerk reaction based on this new stock exchange news… the writing is already on the wall…,
Just look at Nielsen's posted jobs. They still have a crazy amount of postings in India. I think basically all those roles replace someone in US/Europe.
You just outsource more to cheaper labor. As we all know outsourcing and shrinking workforces where top talent leaves is KR’s playbook for success
I think everybody understands the context. OP is asking in the light of the entire US stock market crashing this morning and how would that affect the demise of Nielsen.
I think it is a valid question!
No the layoffs are over. For forever. Yup. /s
maybe read the forum and actually absorb what is being said.
Why do people keep asking this? It’s very obvious at this point the company will continue to have layoffs.
