Anyone hear of a construction gang and a manager being pulled from service due to amtrak being lined into an industry?

UP hates its employees
Who cares? The more people UP gets rid of, the more UP has to pay my bonus. Cut them and hire some more monkeys to do the work.
That's because most managers are at risk of losing their job if they speak up against PSR and Vena. The great big rolling railroad is nothing more than an out of control dumpster fire now. Stay tuned in September when the UP execs take the hotseat again in front of the government for more Q&A. It should be quite the show, especially if Vena is grilled.
Funny how employees used to be absolutely eviscerated when something went wrong. Now that the general public and govt hear this railroad is understaffed, its silence. I can't believe no managers ever say the amount of work needing to be done, in the amount of time they want it done, will require more people.

I can’t comment on the incident, but I’d be willing to guess the manager will be ok and the construction crew will be punished, unless the construction crew were contractors. Then all will be ok, speaking from experience.
