Thread regarding VMware layoffs

What’s going on at Omnissa?

Are they growing or reducing workforce similar to BC? How’s their termination package?

Whatever happened to the Global Launch Event that was supposed to happen last week? Did Shankar forget or was there just no budget?

"Bunch government and large enterprise contracts are renewed with Omnissa recently.

Rob told the sales teams that renewals are down, significantly, so what's your source?

Poor vision and execution over the years ki-led EUC , Microsoft is way ahead and several other startups are offering better products.

KKR is the sc-m of the sc-m of private equity. They will keep Omnissa on their books for the legal requirements. Otherwise the Broadcom shareholders will revolt on these folks for paying so much for VMware.

No doubt. Old wine in a new bottle. Omnissa is a joke. They are building Taj Mahal using AI. Close the shop for good.

That all sounds about right…

Regular W2 workers are totally sc--wed.

We would all do better as consultants of our own LLC so we could make use of arcane laws that benefit “entrepreneurs”

KKR Founders Sued for Allegedly Getting Giant Payday for No Work --
Lawsuit adds to legal scrutiny of arcane tax deals benefiting private-equity heavyweights

The KKR leadership has created a mercenary culture of private equity scoundrels. They add no value, they just take out the cash and keep taking it out. Shameful.

"How’s their termination package?" - it seems similar to the old VMware benefits.

Most of the team members I work with are eager to get a package and leave so they can focus on finding a better job at a company with a future. KKR is all about cost-cutting and profitability. Omnissa has no meaningful product or growth strategy, under KKR's control. Harvesting revenue from the installed base customers is the focus right now. Very little progress on that front while CIOs compare competitor options to Horizon and WS1.

Omnissa is a mess, leadership hidden information, HR not communicating, product direction doesn’t exist (see the recording of the first Omnissa webinar on LinkedIn), company is full of old vmware directors and managers only replying emails to get the paychecks.

KKR is watching and another layoff is coming before the end of the year.
