Where is the innovation? Cant expand software defined as much as theyd like without sacrificing the HW business. Only way to keep the stock up is to cut costs. It will take a while for AI to help, or certainly save, them. The Dell piece of the AI stack is low single digit servers and some PS, an org that took a hit today. Dell is moving away from customers, not closer. This is a cost cutting move because Dell doesn't respect, or feel they need, customer relationships. They want to offload those to the channel.

I believe most of these were already at Dell in some capacity (Inside sales, NGSA, etc.). Just moving up or lateral, or in to the office for first time.

@gqu+1tRDt9rp consult an employment attorney, but you’ll likely learn state law tilts heavily for the employer. The severance package will relinquish whatever workplace rights were afforded to you.

I question how it’s legal to call a role redundant and then turn around and hire a new grad for the exact same position. It’s unethical at least.

It is confirmed that new reps are coming in. Already heard from some remaining managers that they will be picking up 1st level new hires (Next Gen Sales Academy).

Dell strategy seems to have been to hire new grads (low salaries) and replace tenured talent over the last couple of years.

They are probably MBA hires. Outside of that, any external hire has to be approved by Jeff.

It is a new go to market strategy = re-org

Redundant and low performance people and staff close to retirement, some managers is always affected by our re orgs. Remember GTM 3.0?

We ofc need new people with (real) competence of AI and quantum computing etc.
