Store manager always on vacation, managers that do show up point fingers all day, workload pulling up few veterans merchandisers getting tired doing most of the work with no leadership. Can’t really blame other associates not doing anything when they see captains/managers doing nothing. It’s sad really then when it’s time to be called out it’s merchandisers not doing enough on top of doing the most work
It gets aggravating when you have to tell your manager what has to get done

Don’t blame associates for not wanting to work. The management is horrible and corporate couldn’t care less!
My store was announced to close at the end of this year and the only thing stopping me from quitting is my severance package. It’s the least I deserve for 12+ years in the company. I’ll worry about a job after… I need a break after more than a decade of not celebrating holidays with my family.

Dont be surprised if they try to fire you on some BS thing before it closes.. just watch yourself and dont get careless.

Our store was told we were one of the 150 closing locations earlier this year, but we are not closing this year. Everyone was hoping that we would close at the end of the year. It is so depressing working in a store that is slated to close, we have so many problems with our building and vertical equipment and the company doesn't do anything to fix them.

We have been getting a lot of rain and water comes in under our doors and we have leaks from the ceiling on all three levels. Nobody even know how water from the room gets all the way down to the first floor ceiling. Our housekeeping service doesn't show up half the time and when you reach out to the division team for help, they are too busy getting ready for visits to help in a closing location.

The best part of being in one of these stores is dealing with all the customers coming in and asking if we are closing. We are losing so many people that the managers spend most of their time interviewing, hiring, and training new people. Those of us with more than a year are not veterans and end up doing everything. Too much stress and new sales and loyalty goals are crazy.
