It has been three weeks since separation date, but I still don't see severance package in my bank account. How long did it take for others?

I think my contract says they have 45 days to pay severance and transition bonus after separation, but I am in Texas, may vary by state?
I was a U.S. based transition employee. My exit date was on a Friday, which was a normal BC payday. I received my full severance and transition bonus payments exactly 2 weeks after my exit date. They were paid in a single check via the normal BC payroll process, with the usual tax withholdings. No 401k withholding was made, since at the time of that final payment I was no longer a BC employee thus no longer eligible to participate in BC's 401k plan.
Thanks. I was let go when I was on vacation. My OKTA was disabled. I don’t even know the exact date of my layoff. No email and no verbal communication. Had to find out from my manager and colleague who asked me to check if my OKTA was still enabled. I have idea what my severance will be! Gotta love this company!

You didn't get that information when you were notified?
Typically: separation date ~60 days after notification. You collect paychecks and remain an employee during that 60 day period.
Then: Sign separation agreement approx 2 weeks prior to the separation date.
Then: Severance paid as a lump sum 1-2 pay cycles after the separation date.
I am repeating this for all the rubberneckers here. If you were laid off, you were told verbally and in writing how all.of this would go down.
took about 3 months to receive severance
Technically correct but incorrectly worded. It took about a month to get your severance. For most people it's three weeks. You get severance after you are terminated. You were not terminated until after the 60 day WARN period.
“Why would they pay you severance 3 months late? That’s crazy. What about the bills in the interim.”
It wasn’t three months late. If Broadcom was paying salary as a part of WARN notice for 60 days, technically they were still employees for that period. You wouldn’t have signed separation paperwork until the end of the 60 days. It sounds like they said they got their severance a month after that.

Took severance during the first round and it took about 3 months to receive severance, but also received my salary as part of the WARN notice for 60 days.
