Did they really need bozos at McKinsey and Saf and his Corporate Strategy dimwits to tell them that there are inefficiencies in the company? Utterly clueless execs have no idea about a modern semiconductor company staffing levels. The entire ELT should be fired.
Pat should have at least reduced his own salary to $1. I would’ve called them criminals but then I realized that being incompetent and d-mb is not a crime.

They are con-artists
Considering his role of chief strategy officer, he should be the first fired. He did give a big consulting contract to McKinsey so his backup employment plan is secure.
It’s crazy McKinsey still gets work. Their track record of failing is huge. Look they aren’t our friends but what they are doing didn’t work in my others places either. But they keep trying the same playbook. Fool me once….
I wonder if that survey made by Dave (CFO) and Saf (McKinsey guy) with cooperation with McKinsey, where you were asked to profile yourself, how much time do you spend on things, etc. Was it an input to the algorithm they will run to CPM people?
If Pat needs to be told it is time to p-e or po-p then yes, he needed them. I don't know if he loses control of his bowels but looks like he may
McKinsey. "May I borrow your watch so that I may tell you what time it is?"
They are horrible. John Oliver did a segment on them.
The day that intel hired a consulting firm I sold all of my stock. Consulting firms are a sign that the CEO, Board and ELT can't find tell the difference between their a-s and a hole in the ground.
What has Saf contributed? He has so many VPs and “technologists” in his org.
