I am seeing both numbers reported. 15% of 125k is 18k. Someone in Intel can't do the Math properly.

You need to strip out Mobileye and Altera from those numbers. For Intel only headcount, it figures out to ~16.5k, so yes, the 15k is still low.
Probably depends on the collective pay of the employees who leave

How does it make any difference at all??
It's 18,000.. well roughly 17,350
