All the shock and surprise seems misplaced on here.
We have seen this coming for at least 4 years, even Pat said it.
They couldn't get the process developed, shells built out or factories installed without the staff we had. But again as Pat said, the next phase was going to be right-sizing the company.
Packages are based on previous year pay, including bonuses & promotion increases etc, why do you think they where slashed for the last few years?
They just got caught short and had to implement layoffs sooner than even they thought. And there will be more next year.
