for very 7 in a group - 1 has to go ideally via vsp if not then the mgr will chose 1 and isp.
Whatever the number, it's not enough.
Majority in Oregon
People keep using this word “impacted”. If you work at Intel, the news of the last couple days is going to impact you, period. Some people having to find a new (and probably better) job outside the company isn’t the only major thing this is going to change. When the dust eventually settles, a lot of people will be working on different things on different teams.
Where are these numbers coming from?
Oregon site - 5000. AZ 4500. Rest from SC and Folsom etc.
Heard closing D1C for maximum savings
If they are serious to save $10B... it's going to be US and western EMEA HC. Not low cost GEOs... cutting those HC won't make a dent in the savings target.
Frankly all 15,000 could come out of Oregon and it wouldn't increase the efficiency, output, quality, or anything else. Company this size is so incredibly bloated. If they take "stop all non-critical work" then you could cut 80% of the company and still not impact revenue.
Are the 1800-2000 just TD or other orgs included?
VP mentioned 1800
Where did they announce 784
Intel announced 784 in Oregon.
Close to 2000
