Idk where you’ll have been but many people have already been informed. Services teams were shuffled and repurposed again. Those I know personally are now required to do more (bigger territory and number) with less (no team).
Sales leaders were notified last week. But did not officially announce yet.
We just don’t know the full impact yet.
My boss got a meeting invite and so did at least one co-worker than I know of

Also interesting this year that we have not heard a peep from our VP, our Director nor our manager on the Tell Dell results. They have never waited this long in previous years. Weird times at Dell.
Our team meeting is normally Monday morning but was moved to later in the week. My manager always just cancels if they cannot hold it, so this reschedule is abnormal. Trying not to look too into it but given the timing it’s hard not to.

My 1:1 was canceled this with a very doubtful explanation. He said we will catchup early next week as he wans to discuss important topics with me... 22 years in Dell EMEA Marketing, and my VP is total a-s, only taking care of himself. Thinks where is heading to, not having the best weekend of my life.

The feelings are mixed as expected.
I am ultimately relieved though. This company doesn't have much of a future with all the shortcuts, penny pinching, and snakeoil. Finally can leave this toxic place behind.
it will be interesting to see how many hybrid workers get laid off per team vs their remote counterparts. Such a pile.
The way they went about it was to layoff higher paying salaried employees. Despite being good. We should start a class action lawsuit. It’s discriminatory.
For those who went out today you most likely have a manager who cares enough about you to give you the heads up. Give you time to prepare rather than get blindsided Monday morning.
I'll respect my boss for doing it himself and treating me with respect. I lost respect for many in the leadership team with how layoffs and changes in benefits happened in the past.
I know what to expect Monday afternoon and ready for whatever is next for me.
Soon to be ex-RR Engineer again, my 1x1 isn't with my boss or his boss or his boss. It's w/ a super high level guy outside my CoC. Is everyone else the same? I'm worried my whole group is getting clobbered.
I went hybrid yet my Dir/Sr. Dir stayed remote.
I got the axe even though I am very high performing. What happened to “in person culture” and those who go remote will have disadvantage at re-org?
If anything my going RTO with a remote Dir/Sr.Dir backfired because of the implication.

It's been going on for a while. India started on July 12th. 5 that I know of in ISG Software Engineering, and more that I have heard of through others.
In the States a few did get their notice this week, but the main event will start on August 5th. Mine is on August 7th (Yay).
No use worrying about it. The decision has already been made as to if you are staying or going. My educated guess is like last year there will be an August and a September round.
