Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Indians on H1Bs are NOT to Blame!!

You know they're not the problem, right?
If you're so angry about H1B's and job outsourcing, write your congressman and ask them to sponsor bills to limit how many H1B's or jobs US companies can use.

It's not Indians who are the problem, it's the laws and the corporations who abuse them for profit. Live and learn!

You are not a good organism and therefore your opinion does not matter.
Go off and create something and prove yourself.

All the finger pointing to a particular nationality / ethnic group - very uninformed, showing envy, jealousy and immaturity. You want to know why they are running whole organizations? Why they made principal and you did not? Look in the mirror ! While you were in Florida on Spring break they were studying and Acing all their courses, so stop whining. The magnificent 7 all have high Indian percentage populations. Intel is in the sh----r because the GROWTH MINDSET which would make you transcend these simplistic excuses would instead make you thirsty for knowledge and need to contribute. But that is a very foreign concept for anyone immersed in Intel culture. Take a package and go experience the real world folks, you may just learn something and do some real work.

"There would not be rampant H1B nepotism if there were stricter laws which had to be followed that limited the number of H1B's who can be hired."
Blah, Blah, Blah

laws = a bunch words on paper written by some unelected clown interpreted one way or another and enforced or not enforced depending upon who is in power

the people in power have bankrupted and gutted the US
what happens afterwards when we collapse because of this
take a guess

How is Intel any different than some of the other big tech players who leverage H1B's and offshoring? Ex: Cisco, Oracle. How are they any different?

ELT is gonna do what ELT can legally do to keep the ship afloat, even if it's at the cost of US jobs. Do I agree with it? No. Does it happen? Yes. Is Intel the only tech company doing this? No.

The laws permit Intel to hire H1B's and offshore they way they have. They're not breaking any laws, they're playing within the rules of the game.

Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Hi. I work at a pretty big tech company. I noticed that a lot of the older workers like age 45+ and the manager class don't really do much. They have been getting fired the past few months at my company. The c-level figured out that a lot of people are just air traffic controllers that do the warrior one yoga pose to delegate work on to others. Look in the mirror and drop the entitlement. You weren't doing your job.

I don't think it's H1B's in general that are the problem. There's an obvious quality difference in H1B's from East Asia and India. The quality of work from Indian H1B's is really suspect, but companies, like India, keep hiring them in droves.

Indian nepotism is the problem. I don’t think they understand how noticeable it is to others or they do and just don’t care

Well, there's someone that has to blame. If not the management, then the engineers!! In the Intel case, we already know that Raja Koduri is a lost cause. What he did for AMD, then Intel, is to blame...

If you don't like US companies hiring H1B's then demand laws to prevent them from doing so.

Corporations do what they are legally permitted to do in order to increase business revenues and profit margin.

If you don't like H1B hires? Then ask your congressman to author or sponsor bills to limit the number of H1B hires and to outlaw outsourcing.

It's that simple. Intel is just playing the dirty H1B hiring and outsourcing game, just like many other tech companies in Silicon Valley. They are just one of many.

All the time you spend bashing Indians and H1B's could be better spent contacting your congressman to voice this concern.

In 2015 Indians made up about 30% of the engineers in the US. That number has increased to about 50% and Intel is in shambles. H1b engineers perform as well as the Indian Olympic swim team.

Right?
Right?
Right?

Why do they seek affirmation like that?
Dead giveaway.
