So if I get selected for CPM and decide to not apply, would that automatically take me to the top of the list for the involuntary layoff round in October?

Don't apply unless you have an outside job lined up.
No, I don’t think so. Involuntary layoffs will be based on benchmarked BU budget targets, employee performance and how much budget cutting your BU still needs after the voluntary separations.

That’s what I figured too. Sure but get outside offer before Oct 1.
