We need to wait in Ireland if more than 30 employees to be let go it triggers collective redundancy legislation which requires a 30 day consultation period before any action can happen.
We will know more on MondayTuesday next week

I've a load of horses looking for a home. If that site in Leixlip becomes available again, I'll happily turn it back into the equestrian centre that was there in 1986.

Fab34 Wafer starts were reduced a month ago. There is no training of techs, just told to read the spec. There are no specs on some tools.
A complete sh-t show and metals in taskforce as it has lost so many people. One GL walked out of a huddle recently when the team told him no. They want jack-of-all-trades instead of trained techs. His reply was "That is the job now"

If so I imagine that they don't want to cause a wobbler with the finance company that just bought 49% of the fab or perhaps the foundry customer we actually have..

Aren’t all fabs underutilized? Manufacture will have highest layoff. I have so many employee bragging about how less work they do each week.
