Heard rumors and some are coming to fruition, they are combining departments and replacing managers with supervisors. That helps them save money on salary since supervisors are one or two grades lower than a manager.

Some staff is also made redundant when groups are combined and are either reassigned or let go. Not sure how much more this trend will continue.

Something is going on with MPC.. the micro managing has worsen over the last couple of month. The changes they put in place one week are gone the following week.

Maybe they are trying to find the lowest performers

Management is lightening up the workload on older employees in my department. Giving their responsibilities to others and won’t give a reason. Makes you wonder what’s coming.

Oil companies never layoff when a war is pending. Oil and gas are more valuable than gold.

No planned layoffs, they are just going to continue cost cutting for turnarounds, safety, and repairs so employers get scared off and leave. Or worse.

She’s more of the same. Same leaders will serve her cuz she don’t know no better. Their failings to move the company forward will be why layoffs happen.
