Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

What does everything think the future of Crown and it’s employees will be?

Since the first rif I’ve felt lost and uneasy. What does everything think the future will look like for the company at the end of this year? As of today, I was one of the “lucky” one’s kept on and as a reference, I work the small cells side in the West.

They sell the fiber assets, small cell shuts down entirely and they maintain an operations team throughout the life of the contacts, tower merges with Phoenix Tower. Who keeps the name I don't know.

They are getting rid of fiber they don’t want any part of it. Small cells will then be merged into crown finally. Then there will be more layoffs once they two are combined.

I’d say if we are sold to another operator or sold off for asset, that would likely happen.

If we get an investment firm or bank to buy us, we’d need a largely intact workforce to continue the business along. You can’t count that option out.

If I were being honest, there will be several layoffs from various departments throughout the company. I have very little doubt that small cell/fiber will be sold, it’s just a matter of when not if. Those working on small cell/fiber will be let go and the supporting groups throughout the company will be minimized to fit the amount of employees left. It’s a grim reality but the writing is on the wall, been there for quite some time.
