Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Large re-org AP ISG and IDG Premier

Big merge for both orgs. Double management layer, duplicated roles. Will this lead to layoffs ? Will it favor the majority group?

RMP also shows low cost and high cost region. They'll probably use AI on it to 'right size' the company. opportunity to get rid most of HR along the way like any other capitalist corporate circus of a company.

Yeah think of the RMP skill matrix as the consultants in the movie office space. They want to as--s your value and skills you bring to the table. You’d better rate yourself Expertnor Master on most everything or you’ll be shown the door.

We are being asked to do a skills assessment in an application called RMP. They want to know everything about us within 24 hours. The notification says something like ISG analyst. I work in IDG warranty. Does anyone know what’s going on?

Kirk didn't leave, he was fired for being useless and being the only person on earth to completely miss the AI Bo-m.

Lenovo is the most top heavy company I've ever seen. They could wipe out 70% of the management/executive layer and it would have no impact on the business.

Maybe this merger explains why Kirk Skaugen left ISG recently, as he'd lose his President title and role in the upcoming merger.

Could September 30th be the merger / layoff date?

Laying off management would be the smart move, but then again, this is lenovo, where "visibility" matters and hard workers get exploited.
