OpenShift is Red Hat's kubernetes container platform, the replacement to IKS. Red Hat will feature heavily at GSX when it will become the defacto platform for VMware replacement and solve the Nutanix BS and be quota retiring if you happen to still be here. AFAIK, the new CISG/AI BU is owning it.

100% agree with below post. In Cisco there is not value for CCIE Or any other certification. you must need relation.. one of my mentor tried 3 times to become PA, finally move to management. He has all most all the technical, industry and customer/ business imapct but he lacks relation with PA/DSE. He wasn't ready to boot lick them ..some are good, but most of them are outdated old ego-centric self claimed experts. Pleasing them is impossible because they are stuck in 90's and early 2000 era. Technology changes but they didn't . So bad to see this in Cisco that even he has all the technical capabilities to become PA but just because he doesn;t have relation with these few people he has been rejected....this could be one of the reasons that most of our talent leaving Cisco.

At Cisco, you don’t have to deliver anything to get promoted, especially if you are a “Liz Boy”.

I would say its not only in LC's Org, this culture has spread across whole the org like a cancer, sorry to say this. is . From top to first line managers, they are promoted solely based other relationship, nothing matters. I know this is somewhat true in industry. but in Cisco that is the "only" metrics. so the leaders protect their coterie. Like any political leaders have, because once they hired them, they praise you like a super human, yours mistakes are justified and twisted, make more noise on small achievements ( like excelsheet skills)... our leaders love this more than Cisco. Their praises in WebexTeams (groups), Emails, Twitter (X.com) and in Webex meetings- this will flood dopamine to leaders, it is sooo addictive that they keep hire and promote such type of people. They are all become legends in their own mind. Out of reality, In the end - the company will become " Cisco"
