Any clue about this scenario?

Disagreement with management. He refused to do something the way they wanted (dangerous/quality risk?) & he walked out!
Why are you making him into a martyr? He was a clown. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. If he was so great why was he at GF?
The comments show the type of mentality that exists at GF.
There's absolutely no respect here for people with actual experience and knowledge.
What an extremely immature and toxic workplace this is. Disgusting.
It's audit season and no MVT
He is a goof
I started with MVT in Dresden. I know him very well. I respect MVT. He had true grit and a heart.
All I can say is now GF lost a really true and strong link.
If it wasn’t a layoff though they couldn’t get rid of him to just eliminate position. Would have had to be calling it performance based or breaking a policy even if there was another true motivation

Thank you for this comment, you addressed so much more than just the subject of this thread.
He was a silly silly man
MVT had issues with management and wasn’t shy about it. WYSIWYG. Ppl who know him know this.
Not the most politically correct fellow, but a resource to all those seeking to improve themselves at work by being a continuous connector /bridge for employees in his 15 years on site and in Dresden way back when, and a friend to all who ask for one. Never shy to give advice when asked.
GF needs mgmt and HR who can think creatively as to how best to use what an employee brings to the table especially when they’ve been serving the company over a decade. Then communicate with them - ask them what they want to do for the company- offer them work that meets both company needs and values as well as meeting that employees desires.
“Cutting his position” I suspect was a poor excuse to fire someone that mgmt /HR simply didn’t know how to manage or what to do with and who’s name was becoming too attn consuming.
Communication is key, soft skills are key, compassion and understanding for ppl who’ve worked hard for many years for one company- is key.
If he’s not offered another well paid position doing whatever he loves to do there, it shows a failure in leadership.
He’d still be a valuable asset to audit teams and ITAR cert, and doc control, if ppl didn’t treat him as a gruff dunce. He was precise about his work, and saw problems many many months before they arose. Unfortunately when everyone around is running 100mph through meetings and you’re not respected in the room you’re in- bc others are designated as leaders- you may not talk and contribute info as to the roadblocks you’re aware of that the team will encounter.
Anyone running a meeting at GF needs to know the importance of asking everyone if they have anything they think the room should be aware of- and giving space for approach after the meeting with that meeting organizer. Else you risk potential millions walking out the meeting room door each time.
If ppl aren’t treated with respect at all levels of an organization, they will eventually leave. In one way or another.
This is a sad but a very human reality - especially in manufacturing- and I hope leadership will adopt the practice of granting more opportunity for conversation before getting employees like MVT walked out.

Ya but who is MVT?
For those not from the upstate New York area, William Bruce "Billy" Fuccillo Sr. (January 9, 1956 – June 17, 2021) was the guy from the Fuccillo dealership commercials who would loudly say "it's HUUUUUGE". MVT definitely could have taken over 😂.
I heard a rumor he quit and is replacing Billy Fuccillo.
