This place has been like a revolving door for years now. I can't keep track of who's leaving and who's joining. Just implement a hiring freeze and we'll be good. Attrition will take care of everything on its own.

They layoff and our stock prices go up. So they keep doing it. I think they are about to buy some company, which means people come with it. So they are offloading us to prepare. Dell just announced a partnership with Nutanix similar to the previous partnership with VMware which we then later purchased. I bet they buy nutanix or Nvidia haha our QualComm. They are definitely about to buy another company though.
Acquisitions will come next. Layoffs free up cash. The executives have already cashed out. Smaller Companies will be acquired by larger companies. The bubble pops and the execs buy the stock back at the bottom. the Cycle repeats. Moving money around at the right time is the goal.
when they merged, they should have just let go of all the redundant departments all of hr and recruiting should have been axed from emc.
Boost the stock price
HPE, Google, Facebook, Intel, and many others are also in layoff mode. The tech world is going into shelter-in-place mode again. This is nothing new, and Dell is not unique. 2001 & the tech bubble was way worse. 100s to 1000s of people in tech job fair lines with paper resumes.
NVIDIA's bubble with Bitcoin mining is now NVIDIA's bubble with AI Factory. Maybe NVIDIA has another trick in its bag to keep this bubble from bursting, but I'm not counting on it.
Hiring freeze? They keep hiring sales academy people to replace the ones laid off! We had a new person join our team every quarter for a year! Don't make me laugh woth the thought we are under a hiring freeze haha. They aren't hiring talent, just recent college graduates that they can pay pennies cause they still have mom and dad's insurance coverage haha
