Thread regarding Digital River Inc. layoffs

How bad will layoffs be?

Anyone have a clue? Judging from how it’s been so far, I assume it’s time to look for another job.

Are you saying that the entire company is going to close down?
We are a merchant, and DR is no longer paying us (they've missed the last two payouts).

Next round coming soon. No one is immune under the ELT. Be prepared. Resume/CV, network. Get out there and talk to some people. I wish you well.

So the number of layoffs in the United States did not violate the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act? I tried to find out but I am not sure yet. If it did not reach the limit, does it mean that there could be another wave of layoffs at any time?

While the overall count is still up in the air, we have found that about 40% of our worldwide employee bass was laid off this past Monday. For anyone that remains, they should be updating their resume and looking for a new job.

Digital River will cease to be DR. Over the next month, more people will be let go after the WARN has run its course, and the remaining US employees will be home. If you don’t have a sales team, your CEO is telling you there’s nothing to sell other than parts. You don’t have a golden parachute. If you’re still there, leave.
