What is this suspicious meeting Aug 8th for all SICCs and CMCCs? It's called State of the Union. Are they actually going to be honest with the workforce about future changes???

Oh, how delightful! I simply adore being fed a carefully curated selection of half-truths and comforting platitudes. After all, why burden our fragile minds with the harsh realities of the corporate world?
It's positively charming that they're offering us a choice between two equally vapid meetings about "goals" and "focus areas." How generous! I'm sure these will be brimming with actionable insights and not at all filled with corporate jargon and empty promises.
And layoffs? Perish the thought! We're all one big happy family here, aren't we? It's not like companies routinely "optimize their workforce" or "streamline operations" when the economic winds shift. No, no, I'm certain our jobs are as secure as a fortress built on quicksand.
But oh, how I yearn for some brutal honesty about our future! The thrill of knowing whether I'll be "redeployed" to the unemployment line or merely shuffled around like a corporate chess piece is just too much excitement for my delicate constitution to bear.
Please, continue to shield us from the truth. After all, ignorance is bliss, and we're all so very, very blissful here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go polish my rose-colored glasses. They seem to have developed a few cracks lately.

But I think it would be amazing if they could bring some honesty about the future because I'm certain there will be future reductions or re-deploying.
Contracts are not renewing due to failure on management to meet TAT. It's true. Such inept snd incompetent managers who know nothing about contractual agreements. Someone here said they managed Burger King and McDonald's ..pathetic

Rest assured, this meeting will be chock-full of vague corporate speak, peppy motivational fluff, and enough spin to make a washing machine jealous. We'll throw around phrases like "synergistic realignment" and "strategic workforce optimization" while carefully avoiding words like "layoffs" or "budget cuts."
And hey, if you're lucky, you might even get a free company-branded stress ball to squeeze while you wonder about your job security. Isn't that exciting?

Everyone likes to reference the WARN Act in here for layoffs. Well, those meetings would be roughly a 60 day notice before the October Thursday being mentioned for the next round. I’m not saying it is, and I have no inside information, but I have my resume ready and am job searching now. This is far too stressful to go through this every quarter.
Humana OH, when did you learn about the contract? Is that half the caseload gone? my state has not been told anything yet. seeing lots of info about wellmed online. Any changes to us managing the UHC wellmed plans?
For sure OH Humana is not renewing. I am SICC in OH.
I heard on this site that two humana states weren’t renewing beyond 2024. Not sure if that’s accurate or not, but it was mentioned on this site within the last couple of months. I believe the states are OH and WV, but not positive.
