I guess the rest of you too. I mean, who wouldn’t want adrenaline rushes interchanged by anxiety attacks, constant worry and sleepless nights, all whipped into frenzy and complete irrationality in the expectation of layoffs? Sometimes I think that upper mgmt derives some special kind of pleasure from just keeping us in suspense. It doesn’t matter that we are human beings and these jobs are our livelihoods. Those a--holes have never known the existential dread.

On our (US) VP call last week. Two slides on the pending changes (re a new online environment for customers) and then five slides on change, embracing the change, be prepared for the change, how to manage change in your career (generally), how to build resilience, how to deal with challenges.
You didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what that call was all about.
