I have it on good authority that the layoffs are mostly sales and for non sales will be around 2% with many groups exempt

I know of 3 non-0sales that were laid off this morning so, this is not entirely accurate. One was engineering.
Only sales affected, no cuts in engineering

IT Ops managers on here now
I’d say IT Ops on-site may be concerned if the real estate is sold off. India is still less than most countries
10-15% across all teams. Invites start Aug 4th.
Only sakes affected is true, most of engineering won't be touched
Us in sales know it’s coming. We spend most of our days doing pointless tasks that do nothing to make a dollar. We focus more on salesforce than we do SCORE. It’s frustrating to say the least. I have no budget to travel even though I’m in outside sales. So we all know it’s coming, and to be honest we are all ok with it. No one trusts the direction the company is heading. It’s just do MEDDPICCs, sell AI as if it’s our own, and get rejected on pricing request as a partner offers and wins on lower prices. That’s pretty much my day in sales. Zero leadership it’s just all fake LinkedIn posts from the upper management. Zero promotions, huge quotas that will make you laugh, and endless stress. Everyone either is sitting on another job offer hoping to be laid off, or actively applying elsewhere all day. Where does the company go when sales gives up…? Think about it.
Why are you afraid in IT ops
You’re lying.
False prophet! Ask the people in IT ops, we are all scared to death, Especially us EMC'er

Great news if you’re in Sales or Presales. @sshole.
