Thread regarding John Deere layoffs

What's with you people?

I see so many great posts on this thread and yet no one comments or adds reactions either positive or negative. Speak up here, maybe management will see it.

Once the process has started it is unstoppable. There is not a start/stop component. The rest of our careers if we continue to stay will be filled with uncertainty. Layoffs, RIF’s, furloughs, outsourcing, offshoring will be our constant companions. Senior management will be in the same position, so they’ll spend their time covering their behinds. We are soon to be on our own. This whole thing is a finely staged play right out of the corporate playbook. Nothing is left to chance. They’ll slowly gut the company, while trying not to lose the hearts and minds of the employees, until we’re no longer needed, maybe you’ll be the one to turn the lights out. That’s how it works.

No job posting, just company internals from the web page.

Yeah, you’re correct, anyone can say that. Found the Davenport job info on a search, as well as the upper band description. I gotta say, thanks for the benefit of the doubt in case I lost a job, very nice of you. But really just kind of bored, just trying to sharpen troll skills. Never worked for Deere. Sounds like it used to be a proper company to work for. Cheers.

So to the JDE post, to the one who states they are upper band.. anyone can say that. Also wouldn't be surprised if it was an LR position at Davenport.. probably gets paid to search the web to find these peoples discussions. If that's not the case, then sorry if you lost a job.

Management has demonstrated they don’t care what is said. To maintain two months of not caring shows quite the commitment.

As with a lot of others I assume, I am minimizing my effort these days. I work remote and spend most of the days on my hobbies around the house. Now, I am fortunate in that I was hoping to be let go, as I am set for early retirement.
