Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Lumen

If Lumen, a fiber company with far worse financials than Crown Fiber, can get a bail out from Microsoft while we get sold, then boy does that show how terrible the EMT and CL are

I don’t think Lumen is better than Crown. As long as Crown keeps id--ts in their C Level positions nothing is going to change.

These are in incompetent people who just do not know how to run a business. They continue to spend money irresponsibly and there is just no accountability.

There are plenty of fiber companies out there that have figured out how to make a profit, unfortunately Crown is just not one of them. It is not very hard to figure out.

Hire people who actually know what they are doing and are competent enough to know that if you sell something for more than it costs you will not make any money.

This is the most top heavy company I have ever seen. You do not need to have one manager who has no direct reports reporting to another manager who has 1 or 2 direct reports. Management has only succeeded at one thing and that is ruining what was once a great company. It seems to have started when they hired CL and will continue as long as he is with Crown.

One of CL’s many failures is Purple Park. They sunk a fortune in that experiment and blew it all. RAPID, one of CL’s many failures continues to loose money. They spent a great deal of money buying 8 machines and opening up multiple warehouses only to lay most of that staff less than a year later.

Crown + SM + CL = FAILURE.

Yeah they have a wider network, but the company also has like 10-15 times (if not more) debt to their ~$2B market evaluation

Lumen actually has a network and a business compared to Crowns random drops sold at a loss to small businesses here and there.

lumen has 400,000 route miles of fiber vs our 90,000. not quite apples to apples
