Who keeps doing this? Why? What was wrong with what was posted yesterday? Why are we not allowed to talk about the “incident”?

It might also be worth while to search for any information you have regarding the FRA safety interference done by the UP. I know some people were sent an email to report any interactions you may have had with the federal inspectors and what to say. If you have that, then copy it immediately and save it somewhere away from the company. I just read an article about the UP safety culture. I also read about the UP being number one as far as derailments go among other things. The UP is in trouble, whether you believe it or not. Save any information you have regarding safety concerns. It may very well be needed soon.
If anyone has the families contact information have them reach out to US Senator Maria Cantwell's office, she's made some VERY recent statements regarding the FRA's assertion that UP interfered with the FRA's safety survey...
This may get her attention...
If someone has ACTUAL DETAILS of the incident post them WITHOUT NAMES so as not to run afoul of the written rules and hopefully not the UNwritten ones...

Mind you all this is the 4th fatality in chicago over the last 9 years between 2 UP and 2 contractors. At least that I'm aware of anyway.

Even if it were permitted, no one should be sharing such details out of respect for the deceased's family and friends. Just imagine what they are going through right now, they have enough to handle without having to deal with a bunch of rumors on some anonymous forum.
@1vgi-The details about what happened keep getting deleted. The 2 links you posted just mention that it happened. Someone has posted several times what happened, and it keeps getting deleted.

If this is how UP would supress speech then I'll repost my statement on every post for everyone to read whenever one is created. Speaking on the fatality and a member of the the chicago unit at the location in question. I have been told and many have discussed that yes, they requested help or further instruction and were denied.... I will not lie and deny others an honest answer to that question.
Someone post it again and make them delete it, more and more of us will see it. Once I see it I will post it on other rail specific websites

No one is really thinking about what the family is saying about it. This site can delete whatever post they want. I promise you that the family is doing a lot of talking of their own. The UP has a problem, and it's called the truth. The UP has always and will always continue to spin things until the truth is no longer understandable to anyone except them. They know the truth of the incident, but will do anything to hide it. The why behind that is because they have something to hide. It's really not that complicated. Come September, the UP has some explaining to do to the STB! Are you ready Vena?
The UP propaganda machine is trying to suppress the truth, that’s why the posts are getting deleted. It doesn’t want the public to know the details of the fatality.

My guess is whats wrong is it told a truth. A truth that if known by others outside of this industry could harm the image and reputation of a few people who have a team of lawyers at their disposal. They’d rather pay for more lawyers than dare even think about correcting the problems front line employees and now even the govt is starting to tell them they have.
