What are the terms of your layoff package? Was it as good as what the first round got back in Nov 2023?

Are we entitled to the RSUs that vest during the severance period which comes after the 2-months WARN notice period?
So really, it is better one gets laid off this year while you can still get the VMware negotiated package... the BC one looks cr-p...or is that just in the US?
1 week for each year of service, but it is capped at 12 years (so 12 weeks max extra)
Is there a cap on the "one week per year of service component"?
In the US it’s 2 months (warn act) plus 2 months severance (all at OTE)….then 1 week for ever year….and $1000 to help find a new job (resume service or something i guess).
Medical is covered for 2 months then they are providing money to cover cobra for 3 months….
So If youre like me and got laid off on friday (they told folks on Wednesday & Thursday)…youre paid / retained (but relieved of duties) until 27 September….then you’ll receive 2 months severance plus 1 week per year of service - medical is covered until the end of the year.
VMW negotiatiated for their severance package for one year after the acquisition. After that…?
My letter says I'm on a 60 day paid leave of absence and I won't find out my package until a couple of weeks before my end date.
