Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

Do we get severance?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I honestly don't know the answer. If we're laid off amid bankruptcy proceedings, do we even get severance?

Here's your severance. $0.00
They may also contest your unemployment benefits too.

I don't think it's technically required to give severance. I remember during the 2019 layoffs I felt like the hefty severance packages were due to 2U hire ups wanting to still feel good about themselves and wanting everyone to believe that 2U was still a great company. I don't think they feel this way now, and they are not obligated in any way.

Don't believe hire ups. They want people to stick around so they tell them severance packages will be great. Don't be surprised if that is a lie. Get out.

They said in the meeting that layoffs would still get severance, and our CEO implied severance packages may be better if layoffs were to occur.
