Citi can't even manage it processes and data flows with Excel. The mapping and architecture is patchwork and chaotic. The talk about AI is just that, talk. Not only does Citi not have the resources and knowhow, it would be a complete global risk to use Ai for a lot of financial services. We get fined periodically for fat fingering things manually. How messed up would things be if Ai was running them?

Talking up AI is just to please Wall Street. Citi have too many messed up systems to take advantage of AI.

Yes! Especially with the dinosaurs we have managing the bank. They barely know how to adjust columns in excel let alone implement AI. The kicker is during this last re-org guess who they kept? The dinosaurs of course. Citi kicked the can down the road. Soon they are going to have to spend more money to fix the unqualified staffing problem they created when they could have just let them go from the beginning.
