Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Big 4 Consideration

For those of you that were let go during the restructuring, did you / have you given consideration to the Big 4 firms? I think this would apply specifically to those that worked in regulatory, risk, or compliance.

If you would not give consideration, why not?

Post ID: @oru+1tFiveOO That's in Europe. In the USA, Big 4 Consultants can make close to $500,000 after 5 to 10 years on the job. Some people make 7 figures. I know some former co-workers who left GS, Bank of America for the Big 4. What's one of the many trade-offs?? You're travelling and away from home living out of a suitcase for 20 days per month.

I think US big 4 and Europe Big 4 salaries are very different. Better benefits though.

Market is paying low salary. Not a good time to switch. Hold on to your position for next 6m-1yr. For Citi, just wait till you get severance

Wow, that is very surprising. A 30 to 40 percent decrease in pay is significant.

Pay in big 4 in Europe is 30 - 40pct below big US banks, unless you are a partner/MD.
