Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Think half my department called State Street’s bluff.

Not sure any other offices are the same, but after a month in Quincy, I am not seeing full compliance with the 4 days in the office mandate from more than half my department.

My SVP told us to basically do it for another month and if no one else complies we don’t have to. She herself comes in 2 days, one of which is maybe 45 minutes before “taking a call in her car on the ride home”

They been outsourcing jobs and bringing in H1B workers for the last 20 years.

Its bad enough to have your job outsourced, but its a big insult to bring in H1B workers.
And force the U.S workers to train them under the threat of " No train , then you get no
Severance package.

Let's face it. They will probably get rid of half of North America staff.

Definitely more people in the office but there are large sections that are empty all but 1 day a week on my floor. I have already dropped from 4 days to 3 and plan to do 2 in August unless I hear of repercussions.
