As long as I get my my 2mo. WARN notice within the Nov. 20 vest date....where do I sign my package? Better yet, if they also include 70% bonus target as they did with the October 2023 RIF, that would be XMAS bonus.
10-12% layoffs not 2% as mentioned in other post.
The news will likely be delivered within a week or so from the earnings call, so next week or the week after. That would give at least 1 full week to deactivate badges before the all-hands.
Some departments can’t move their work to India, so they are having to make cuts.
And Qualcomm has to move as much work as possible overseas now because after the election in November there will be significant fines.
If the last day of those impacted is 10/1/24 or after, the layoff falls in FY25 technically.

CA said no layoffs for long time :) and he joked stock price when asked to raise. Now layoffs.
This time may not be the entire org. But our devision for sure (non-Eng). Sr. Director is working on the list and the team was explained what to come.
The teams impacted are the ones their work were transitioned to India team in the last 7-8 months. So yes they trained their own replacement.
All hands for Feb was also scheduled later. No layoffs. Stock is doing fine.
Notice all-hands is scheduled for 2.5 weeks after earnings release? Usually it's a week after. They delay when layoffs occur to give time to disable badge access for those impacted.
What is the reason for the next layoff? Our stock is much better than the last round.

Well, my team was a still hiring as far as I know.
All hiring is on hold except for roles deemed critical in US until at least the new fiscal year. What’s to follow in Q1 is layoffs by non and lower revenue generating teams globally.
