Nielsen views all of us as replaceable no matter how valuable any of us might be or consider ourselves to be. It's that simple. No matter your contributions, if a fresh grad or somebody in India is cheaper than you, then your job will go to them. Even if they know they will not do it nearly as well as you will. That's the reality.

Define "us"? CEO and top officers are not as easily replaced because the CEO and top officers is supposed to have vision and contract to pay them well if let go.
