Everything will be brought to a steady state and most people will be let go. Arctic gone (innovation). VMC gone. Tanzoo gone. Telco gone. VCF will be consolidated and brought to a reasonable cohesive state and it will be only maintenance after that. In the layer cake model, the bottom two layers are VC and ESX below that. These are the only layers that will be retained to some extent. Just enough to do bug fixing. We are probably looking at 10% from where we started. 3.5k out of 35k. Most of US will be gone too. Too expensive. Probably this will play out in 1 to 2 years.

Cuts will be an ongoing monthly affair. This is even true for execs themselves. But execs get paid so much that they accept it and prepare for a job hunt and save up cash for multiple years without a job. Just that now VMware has this situation for even junior people and the entire population. The junior people are not being compensated enough to be in this uncertain situation. Don't believe anything any exec says. They have a different setup and very short term goals.

As people finish VCF 9.0 features, they will be cut. Not much to do after VCF 9.0. Only basic maintenance.

Can't believe posts are getting deleted by admins. Is this site moderated in China or N. Korea ? Keep your censorship in your country. Don't bring that to US of A.

Damn.. not sure how many times I can witness this guy tearing down the house. It was not a perfect company but a lot of us loved it. Can’t help but to dislike him, make it easy to hate someone.
