Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

Just a reminder

If Kyndryl buys DXC, you are gonna be looking for a job 12 months later. Kyndryl is already at the breaking point financially. This company has no business taking on that amount of debt and risk. Let's also mention Apollo this company is a shark. It is just another hedge fund looking to cash in on the short term. For Kyndryl to try and partner up with this type of company is foolish. I am without reservations, when I tell you Apollo has a plan to always come out on top and a plan on how to leave it's partners holding the bag. The amount of cost cutting will be insane if Kyndryl follows through with their acquisition of DXC.

Bunch of id--t's reading about an endless stream of rumors. Get back to work! Double down on your effort at your current job. Cultivate skills that make you valuable, and needed. Stop wasting time with these gossip boards. If you have time to visit these sites during work hours. Your just not that valuable to the company. They would be justified absolutely for laying you off. BYE BYE

You are correct. They are not buying DXC. They are partnering up with Apollo, who has made a move on DXC for purchase. They want Kyndryls expertise to see the running of this company. Kyndryl is expected to put up a money stake in this partnership with Apollo. Whether or not the deal goes through that is still open to debate. Is this an immediate concern? If you are a Kyndryl employee not yet. If Kyndryl and Apollo pull off this deal. Oh yeah a lot of jobs will be eliminated in Kyndryl for sure. They will immediately start to look for doubled up work rolls in both companies. The higher salaries in which ever company will be the ones to go. Its all about streamlining and efficiency. Kyndryl is ripe with a lot of IBM legacy rollovers who are too expensive to keep for the value they provide financially for the company. Sorry that's just the reality.

@8oou+1tEI7vXN Lol yea because google, Twitter (X?) and the layoff.com are known for being reliable sources. These are rumors made up by some media outlet to get eyeballs nothing more.

It is not fake news. This information is easily verifiable. Google it or reference a current business publication. It astounds me that, the amount of misinformation given out is quickly absorbed. The person who thinks Kyndryl's participation in the acquisition of DXC is fake are a classic example of a person being willfully ignorant.

Apollo is very much a shark. They are not to be messed with. Kyndryl will not fare so well with this company. If you read about some of their acquisitions and dealings. It is a given they make money at all costs. Those costs are usually paid for at the expense of the employee's. They also have been known to saddle partnering companies with hidden and extra costs legal wise. yup not good!

Kyndryl is shutting down several data centers, and is doing another round of layoffs. What company can stay afloat if they are literally closing it's doors and cutting contracts from customers?

There will always be pain by employee's when a company is acquired. If you are employed in corporate America. This par for the course. Accept it and sleep better.
