Applying at Google - looking for direction

Hello Everyone,
Just checking to see if i can get some direction here.
I currently work for CISCO an am looking to move to Google. I am in the professional services side (enterprise data center). Is google hiring for this type of role? where should i start looking? is it -even- a good time to move to google? I have a lot of experience with all kinds of compute (virtualized or otherwise) and ACI with automation using various languages.

I am sorry to say that coming from Cisco, your credentials may count against you. I heard a couple of people saying how they perceive network domain practioners to lack vision and the ability to adapt. I am the one who proved then wrong. If you are coming from professional services, if you are not currently coding at production level, expect interviews to measure your coding proficiency. Unless you accept sales positions.

LOL

If you can't even figure out where should you start looking, you are not ready yet.

Here's friendly advice. Start at google.com and search for Google jobs.

As for is it a good time, if you re based in India or Poland and just graduated you might have a chance, otherwise don't waste your time. LOL.
