Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Last time…

This will be my last visit to this board, and I wanted to say goodbye with a feeling of peace and optimism.

Having spent many years at this company and navigating through numerous challenging changes, I recently found myself let go without any severance. I dedicated my time and effort to my work, hoping for some reward in return, but unfortunately, it didn't pan out that way. My advice to you all is to never get too comfortable; always be open to new opportunities, even if they're just for practice. Update your resume, strengthen your client relationships, and remember that we're all subject to unexpected changes.

Life offers so much more beyond Staples. True happiness can be found in a workplace with purpose and growth opportunities. The idea that "business is human" seems to lose its meaning in the current situation. Staples' focus on automation and reducing support may not be the best strategy for long-term success. Can a company thrive by cutting support and increasing the workload? The challenges are mounting fast, and it's possible that Staples may not survive beyond 2025.

For those of you who frequent this board, I hope you find fulfillment and success in a place that values your efforts and recognizes your contributions. Keep in mind that there's always a brighter future waiting just around the corner. Let's stay positive and embrace the possibilities ahead!
