Has anyone else heard more layoffs will continue through Thursday and again in September?

It’s only a matter of time before OIC positions are next. But then again, we are the flunkies of the company. We pick up everything and everyone’s job and get no money and barely an acknowledgment

I don't think they do layoffs like that. They seem to do a big one once per quarter and that is mostly it.
They acquire businesses for 1 of 2 reasons they either want data that helps them to determine what their competition charges or does OR they buy the other companies, then dissolve them to reduce competition in hopes of keeping their customers.
UHG, leading the way to stamp out competition by acquisition NOT building a better health care system. They don't give 2 hoots about members, patients, physicians, or any other healthcare workers or employees. ONLY about the bottom line and how they can earn more and line shareholders and C-suite pockets. That's all folks...

every quarter so next one will be october then january. they never stop their RIFs
I’ve heard October and again in January. They are slowly dissolving some of the businesses they acquired. The staff that remain are being shuffled around to other lines of business within the company.
