Yeah and one of our managers happens to be one of 'em how they got fired for that and rehired only for the director that they came up with to make 'em a manager. Should say everything about management ethics.
Document everything ladies and gents. I mean EVERYTHING.... We all have gone through this before and I'm sure there's management in this company who are going to be canned when like ftx's some forged and some outright lied which got them fired.
Quiet quitting. We’ve discussed it on here before. If you are not doing that, you are asking to get in trouble. You will get in a lot more trouble working than doing nothing. Have a coworker working on something? Do not offer to help, not because you don’t want to help, but because you are putting your own self at risk of a made up critical rule. And yes, management is making things up to deem something a critical rule. Remember, if you automatically plead guilty, you are on 1 year probation. If you challenge it and are still found guilty, then it’s a 30 day non paid suspension and 3 years probation. And don’t forget who the judge, jury, and executioner are. Your union probably won’t back you up either, because they will threaten the local chairman defending you to the point that he/she will give up. This is not my opinion, this is fact.
Someone posted a while back about cuts starting in July because of the contractual raise taking effect. Instead of layoffs from the bottom, management has decided to go a different route and blow critical rule violations out of proportion to try to get hand picked people fired. None of this is coincidence to the recent fatality, it was planned all along. They are claiming the fatality it the reason, just so it doesn’t look bad to the FRA and it won’t get negative press.
The critical rule hit DeSoto today. At least 2 people got attacked today by management.
What rules are being made up? There's always been a safety push right after a critical incident. A 27 year old new hire was just ki-led that only had 5 months of service. The government has been watching the UP for quite a awhile now, and now has requested the UP executives attend another hearing to explain themselves. This hearing is for all of the class 1's. The rules blitz is most likely to prepare for that, so they can go to that hearing with some answers. The UP is going to have to answer for that I'm sure. The hearings is supposed to be for industry carloadings going down. It'll be nice to see Vena in the hot seat getting grilled. It's how it all ended for Fritz. The hearing is in September.
FRA is clamping down on UP.
About time. Take your time and go
Rule 6.27 and slow and give 💯 % rule complaints
That’s when you know the hammer is about to come down on management.
